One year on…

Hello again from the Sixty7.green team.

I can’t believe more than a year has passed since we launched Sixty7.green. Pandemic aside, it’s certainly has been a roller-coaster of a ride. 

But through thick and thin, the team got on with it, landed some pretty awesome clients, found a community-led co-working space, grew the team to 6 people and met some amazing and inspiring individuals along the way.

We launched Sixty7.green back on 22 April 2021. And in little over a year, we have landed some amazing and ambitious clients, built our confidence and demonstrated we can compete even with the big guys!

We honed our focus and got some pretty big wins under our belt. We have also been privileged to deliver some value locally helping our neighbours get through the last 18 months with flying (and green thumbed) colours.

It goes without saying, we couldn’t have done any of this or had such a great time without so many supporters, urging us on, challenging us and just being there when we needed them most. Thank you.

Sixty7.green consultants delivered an advisory project to inform the City Bridge Trust’s environmental strategy. We led focus groups, conducted interviews, and engaged charity professionals and funders on championing environmental sustainability.

The Royal Horticultural Show - Chelsea Flower Show 2022

In association with Ruth Willmott Associates and Morris & Co.

Sixty7.green was honoured to be appointed Sustainability Advisor to Ruth Willmott Associates in the design of a Gold awarded main avenue garden at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show for Morris & Co 2022. 

The Morris & Co garden paid homage to William Morris through his two iconic Morris & Co. wallpaper designs, Trellis and Willow Boughs. Sixty7.green worked alongside the Willmott garden design team to raise sustainability as key to the garden design and narrative. Extensive use of locally sourced plantings in peat-free soils, hand-made clay tiles and reused materials were just a few of the garden’s sustainability credentials.

And our proudest contribution by far was identifying and leading on the partnership that we brokered with the Arc Centre community in Islington for the relocation of the garden from Chelsea to its permanent home in the community. There was a lot to love about this project and a lot of emotion and joy to share too.

FourKites Global Supply Chain Sustainability Summit 2022

One Tree Planted for Sixty7.Green

Last March we’ve participated in the FourKites Global Supply Chain Sustainability Summit.

A great initiative highlighting the role carbon offsetting has in The Climate Emergency. Read more about this initiative, on One Tree Planted https://onetreeplanted.org.

Sixty7.Green is a supporter of sustainable enterprising and on March 24th, a tree was planted in our behalf to renew our commitment in the cause.

We wanted to do something tangible on Earth Day, which was first celebrated in 1970, by planting a tree, marking the beginning of our commitment to go above and beyond sustainability targets.

Earth Day has now become an internationally recognised day and is celebrated across more than 192 countries. Every year, 1 billion individuals across the globe are united and mobilised for the same cause – greater environmental awareness and climate action.

On the back of this, Sixty7.green will be doing more tree planting throughout the next 12 months. A small contribution in the scheme of things, but we believe, important nonetheless. And it is good for soul and we meet nice people along the way.

The Arc Community Garden Project and Sixty7.green

Sixty7.green is thrilled to be working alongside the Arc Centre, not only because of the amazing work that the Centre does for people in our neighbourhood but also because it provides great coffee (thanks Alessandro) only a short stroll from the 67.G office.

This partnership is important to Sixty7.green as it helps to keep us grounded to the local community and environmental activism, community engagement and social purpose. And we are absolutely thrilled to broker a partnership for the Arc Centre with Morris & Co., resulting in the relocation of 4000 plants including trees from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022. So much love, bucket loads of passion and exhilarating excitement, very much worth shouting about.

And as a bonus, hot off the press - the RHS Hampton Court Garden, on the back of this project, also donated a whole show gardens’ worth of plants to this project. Green thumbs up to that!

Sixty7.green is thrilled to be appointed advisers to McLarens, an insurance claims service provider headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA with over 230 offices worldwide. We advise the Sustainability Steering Group on Environment, Social and Governance policies with a focus on sustainability.

We have been delighted to work alongside members of the senior leadership team and have had the opportunity to meet most of the country leads including visiting the Australian Office in Brisbane earlier in the year.

Most recently we led an information session on ESG in the loss adjusting world as part of the national loss adjusting conference, AIRMIC in Liverpool, UK.

So excited by this partnership with the newest kid on the block in naturally sugar free drinks. This exciting partnership will build Nexba’s sustainability narrative with a focus on the environment, health and wellbeing – Nexba’s sustainability pillars. 

Nexba is the brainchild of two young Aussie entrepreneurs, Troy and Drew, who wanted to shake up the soft drink world and create something that was naturally sugar and artificial ingredient free. 

They were also inspired to be better, every step of the way. So they create a business model that also did some good, on the sustainability front – wanting to address individual health, environment and social good concerns. 

And as Drew & Troy say, ‘cheers to that’!

Sixty7.green has partnered with Business in the Community to develop and deliver its inaugural Alumni group. Delivered as BITC’s 40th anniversary legacy, Sixty7.green has developed the platform (via LinkedIn) for the group as well as managed the launch of the initiative at a prestigious 40th anniversary event at Mansion House in London.

As an alumni group member, Sixty7.green conceived the original alumni idea and is absolutely thrilled that despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, we were successful in building a massive 500 strong following in the first few months of going live on LinkedIn and ahead of the official launching on 30th June 2022. 

We are humbled to have been asked to lead on this important responsible business network and look forward to helping it along on its journey.
